Lee Ave Elementary students showcased their artistic talent in the Veteran’s Art Contest sponsored by the Hicksville Garden Civic. These winning submissions highlight the theme of service, sacrifice, patriotism and pay tribute to our heroes. Special thanks to Art teacher Ms. Barto, Principal Mr. Uccilini and Superintendent Dr. Ted. The winning students are: Simrat Nanda ( kindergarten); Rajvi Patel and Noor Kaur (1st graders); Leora Sing ( 2nd grade); Gianna Caparella, Avnoor Kaur and Pan Bhatt ( 3rd graders); Katherine Herrera-Yanes and David Osborn ( 4th graders); and last but not least Julia Oddo and Asra Asif (5th graders).
